Rool

Privacy Policy

Rool is a social-curiosity game. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. By using Rool you agree to these practices. You must be 18 or older to use the service.

Answers are anonymous by design

Your answers are counted into aggregate percentages and are never stored or shown individually. No one — including Rool — can retrieve your specific response to any question.

Account information (optional)

Creating an account is optional. If you choose to sign in, we collect only your email address, used exclusively to send a magic-link for authentication. We do not use your email for marketing without your explicit consent.

Demographics (optional)

You may optionally provide demographic information such as age range, sex, or country. This data is used only to compute aggregate benchmarks — for example, “how did people in your age group answer?” or “how did people in your country answer?” — and is never attributed to you individually.

Country is collected at country-level granularity only, is always something you type in yourself, and is never inferred from your IP address or device location. You can change or remove it at any time from the Profile tab; removing it stops it being attached to any new answers you submit.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app. Deleting your account removes your email and any optional demographic information from our systems. Aggregate answer counts are not affected, because they were never linked to your identity.

Third-party services

Rool uses infrastructure providers (hosting, database) that may process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
